Steps to Create a New Job for AWS Reports
#Last updated: 19 March 2026
The AWS Reports target type allows users to schedule automated generation of AWS security, compliance, and activity reports. When configured, the system periodically collects and generates selected AWS service reports across specified regions and accounts, providing continuous visibility into security posture, compliance status, and operational events without manual effort.
Steps to Configure:
- Enter a unique Job Name to identify the scheduled task.
- Select CRON as the Trigger Type to define the execution schedule. Or Select Rule to use a predefined rule created in the CSPM > Alert Rules section.
- Specify the Cron Schedule using the supported cron format to set when the job should run or If Rule is selected, specify the Rule ID to associate the job.
- Select AWS Reports as the Target to enable automated AWS report generations.
- Specify the AWS regions and accounts from which reports should be generated.
- Choose the AWS report type to generate, such as AWS CloudTrail (Event History), Amazon GuardDuty (Security Findings), Amazon Inspector (Vulnerability Assessments), AWS Security Hub (Centralized Security Findings), AWS Config (Compliance Reports), CloudWatch Logs (Log Summaries), or AWS Trusted Advisor (Security Recommendations).
- Click Add Job to save and activate the scheduler or click Close to cancel.
